Henry D. Thoreau said: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, and live the life you have imagined.”-and we would like to believe that FPD’s SHIPS Unit together with Health Science Academy (HSA) has enabled the students o do so. On 9 February 2018 a graduation ceremony for the Basic and Post Basic Pharmacy Assistance Learnership was held at the CSIR International Convention Centre.
A total of 322 learners successfully completed the programme. After the 12 month period, graduates received a National Certificate and the Post Basic level learners received a Further Education and Training Certificate upon ompletion.
After the experiential learning through which FPD provided the students in placing them in various organisations, we believe that all students are ready for the working world and some are advancing in pursuit of their careers.
The joy in everyone could not be denied on that day, as family and friends gathered to witness what was a beautiful occasion. To the graduates, as you aspire to do great things, use only the best of your abilities to inspire an upcoming graduate, because you only need to touch one life to change the world. We wish the very best for this year to our current students, and hopefully they will be seen at our next SHIPS/HSA graduation ceremony.
